[AT] JD 2020 standing still

I have my 2020 running but when in every gear and range and I release the clutch it doesn't move. I have jacked up the rear tire and removed the shifter plate so I can see the shaft from the clutch to the transmission. When I turn the rear tire this shaft does not move, but when the engine is running and clutch released the shaft does spin, so the clutch is working. My next step is to remove the rockshaft to see the transmission parts. At 72 I have never gone into a transmission, but It's my time now. What should I be looking at to see the problem? Hoping there is something not sliding that should be, but I'm  afraid a split of the tractor is coming.
