It will work, I do it with my batwing mower and my New Holland tractor
or the AC 7030... The presusre side that is no connected will just pop
the relief on that side. It will still lower.

> Brad, here is my $.02 worth. Hook your single acting cylinder up to your remote and try it. When u hook up a 2 way cylinder you pull the handle back your cylinder goes up. You push the handle forward your cylinder goes down or visa versa. Now in order for the 2 way cylinder to move you have to displace the oil in the other end of the cylinder in order for it to move. So it returns back thru the other hose. So with that said hook it up and let gravity push the oil back thru your hose. Obviously double acting cylinders are faster acting due to hydraulic pressure but I don't see why it won't work.

On my mower conditioner I have a cylinder that’s setup as a simple one-way cylinder. I’d like to keep it that way as I have a WD-45 I’d like to use on it at some point.

I assume I can plug it into the lift port to raise it and then drop the handle to the float position to bring it back down? I didn’t see anything in the manual that addressed this type of use.
