I have had very good luck with KROIL penetrating oil for loosening up
stuck pistons. If there is a cylinder with the valves closed I put a
spark plug air fitting in the plug hole, and put air on it to push the
oil through. If needed, I adjust the valves to where they are
closed. That v-8 flathead may be a little hard to adjust the valves.
It has been a long time. I have a v-8 flathead mercury industrial from
a military forklift that was barely running when we took it out...
