[AT] Haying pictures

I'm not sure my Dad would have permitted a crawler in our alfalfa fields. He
was so stinking fussy about how well every single stalk was cut and how
square the corners were and making sure that ALL the hay was baled exactly
one second after it was dry enough to save all the alfalfa leaves. Having
something tear up the ground and leave anything behind to plug the Sickle
Bar mower when cutting would have driven him up a wall. I've never been in a
hay field where a crawler has been so maybe I'm making a mountain out of a
mole hill. Speaking of that, Pocket Gopher mounds were not welcome either.
Or Badger or Fox holes.

It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Sorry. This sat in my drafts folder. It's a little late but my concern
below on turning is a little different than what was discussed so I am
sending it.

 Nice!   Real men use crawlers to bring in the hay (-;

Just out of curiosity, does it tear up the hayfield? Seems like the hard
turns especially during mowing would create some skinning for sure.

hay cut and raked. I broke a section on the mower but got it fixed in timely
fashion. Right after this picture was taken I blew a tire on the rake. They
are 600x16 but I was able to find a modern tire I could make work. I cut for
2 days and raked 1 day. I will let it cure in the windrow for 2 weeks and go
back down and bale hopefully. That will be another challenge I will get into
later.
