When I bought my NH subcompact if I only needed loader capability I
would have considered a Bobcat as well. Thing was I also needed tractor
capability with it. I'm amazed what an experienced Bobcat operator can
do with the machine.

Even after selling my tractor, I really felt like I was into 9 to 10 K of new money. So I punted, and started looking at skid steers as some of you advised. I found that if I was patient, and just kept watching, skid steer's did occasionally come up from the 1990s in the upper thousands range. I am pleased to report that I found a decent used skid steer a few weeks ago. It is a bobcat 753G. Decent tires, and a new bucket and new forks. I got it for 8400$. It has Kubota Diesel engine and 3427 hours, but at least the hourmeter worked. Most I looked at the hourmeter didn't work, or if it did the hours were even higher. Steers beautifully and all systems working exactly as they should. Even the interlock and lights. And I can keep my current tractor which I do like a lot. I just finished paying my legal bills, so I was able to free up some cash and borrow a little.
