[AT] tractor oils maintenance?

Ralph, I think a lot of the old folks were schooled on
keeping a journal when they were small. He probably kept up
with everything in the same way. I guess once it becomes a habit
it's no big deal to do it. Remembering to write it down and keeping
it organized is the hard part.

I knew a lady that worked as a bank teller and at night she worked as
a server in a steak house next door. She kept a ledger of every penny
she made on her job, every penny she maid in salary and tips from the
steak house and every penny she spent. If she spent 13 cents on something
it was written down. The amazing thing is that she was an ordinary acting
and fun person. She just believed in keeping records.

Charlie

It sounds like a lot of work but I have the log books my uncle kept for
his Case DC4 back in the 1950s.
Also the later Farmall M and John Deere AR. The date , number of hours
worked , which field and
what implement he was pulling. And of course the date of the oil changes
along with weight and
brand of oil. I think it takes a special kind of dedication to keep such
detailed records.
