I agree, there's some disinformation posted. Some of the bigger 12 volt two cylinder tractors used two sixes in series, while of course, several smaller tractors were straight 6 volt single battery. In later days many of the 12 volt (that were originally two sixes in series) got replaced with single 12 volt batteries.
