[AT] It kind of blows my mind

Several years ago I bought a Cub 1 pt. plow and complete 1pt. fast hitch 
for my cub. I bought it from a guy down south (not JP) and the price was 
$400 plus dollars. I told him I did not want it shipped Yellow Freight 
as I had had 3 bad experiences with them in recent years. He told me 
shipping would not be much as his brother in-law worked for Yellow and 
lived just a half mile from his business. A week later it came,freight 
COD. It was on one pallet and weighed 400 pounds. They charged me $450 
shipping; mind you this was 10 years ago. Had no choice but to pay. I 
called the guy, can't remember the name, and told him what had happened. 
He said he would look into it and get back with me; which  he never did. 
I called two or three times more and left messages on his machine,even 
my E-mail. I never did hear from him; however he sent the items and was 
to bill me later but never did, so I guess that was his way of making 
things right. A year later I bought a 1 pt. disk from JP tractor salvage 
and they get freight prices up front. The disk also weighed 400 pounds 
and was on one pallet. It was shipped with a different company (The 
distance difference was less than a hundred miles).  The freight charge 
was $110. You just never can figure some of these companies.
