[AT] Having a little fun

I bought a new chainsaw Saturday. Not sure why, I can only use it about 10
to 15 minutes at a time...
I bought it Saturday because I got the power company to take down 4 large
dead and dying Chinese Elm trees across in front of the house. They would
take them down from the top down but it is my responsibility to deal with
them from there. I want the firewood but I didn't want to ask son Scott to
cut them up, he does me enough favors already.
My collection of old saws is aging out pretty bad, much like me. As I was
cussing my little Echo for suddenly not starting after being quite reliable
I realized that even though I tend to think of it as my "new saw" it must
be about 8 years old. It has mostly sat in a corner for maybe 5 years. I
have 3 older low priced Poulan saws and a Homelite and thinking back the
newest Poulan is maybe 25 years old. Funny how stuff gets old. It started
and ran fine but on the second start when I hit the primer bulb it split
all the way across the top... Fix the #$%& thing later... I had bought a
larger Poulan-Pro new but just couldn't use it, I have a little right
shoulder problem and that saw REALLY needed a compression relief. I gave
it to Scott and he still has it but doesn't use it because it hurts his
shoulder too. He bought a Farm & Ranch Stihl that he uses and likes it a
lot.
I went to Rural King and our local store has a quite large display of Stihl
saws, blowers, trimmers etc. They are getting rid of everything else. I
bought one of the home-owner series, about the 4th one from the bottom of
the line and the second from the top of what they had in that series. An MS
180 C-BE. $239. Love that EZ start pull rope start. It kind of winds up
first then spins. Nice light little saw.
I should mention that son Scott just showed up without saying anything and
cut up the wood from 2 trees and hauled the brush while I was getting
started...
