The postal service really needs to get a better tracking system in 
place. The current one lags WAY behind actual events. Plus half the time 
it's just plain screwed up!
Here is a log from a recent purchase. I reversed the order to make it 
easier to follow, and added a few comments...

Part was ordered Thursday Dec 8th at around 9 PM

Friday, Dec 9, 2016 1:47 PM 	WATERBURY , VT 	Picked Up

Saturday, Dec 10, 2016 7:24 AM 	SPRINGFIELD , MA  Arrived at USPS
Saturday, Dec 10, 2016 8:43 AM 	SPRINGFIELD , MA  Departed USPS

So far they are doing great...

Saturday, Dec 10, 2016 1:25 PM 	SYRACUSE , NY  Arrived at USPS Facility
Saturday, Dec 10, 2016 5:36 PM 	SYRACUSE , NY  Departed USPS Facility

UH OH We have a problem....

So the part which took 5 hours to reach Syracuse suddenly hopped a fast 
freight and went almost 175 miles back in 30 minutes!!!

BUT WAIT.. it's now scanned in again, back to the West over 250 miles in 
hour and a half...

And 1/2 hour later it's 320 miles in the opposite direction, almost to 
Boston !

But somehow Rochester NY has it 30 minutes later...

And amazingly it arrived at my "local" P.O.

And was delivered
Monday, Dec 12, 2016 11:43 AM 	FORT PLAIN 	DELIVERED IN/AT MAILBOX

This outfit is considered to be one of the examples of how great the 
government can do things. Is there any wonder the mail gets lost, 
delayed or shipped to the wrong place, I would say it's a damn miracle 
it ever makes it at all....
