I'm about 4 hours west in Iowa, but this morning we didn't go to church
because the roads were so icey. When the temperature is below 0 salt
doesn't work and the country doesn't like to use sand so we have to
wait. Gravel roads were just fine, enough grit that the tires grip. Of
course the weather is supposed to warm tomorrow, the weekend might be
great roads or might be impassable.

The real question is how far off a major hiway you are. If it is only a
few miles just plan on 20 mph, slow down well before corners, and you
will be fine. If it is farther than that who knows, check a weather
report before you leave.

At least for the return trip you have a tractor to help get unstuck.
Dress warm enough to enjoy it.
