Dave,

Bought two sets of lights for $8.88 ea. and a 5' wiring extension in case I need it. Never can go to HF without buying other junk as well. :-)

It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Hi Dean, When they are on sale at HF (about every other two weeks in the flyer I get!) they are $9.99. I NEVER buy until a sale. Then I get half a dozen and I’m good for about two/rhree years.
	Dave.
PS, I’ve never run into a length problem on my 18’ trailer. It says “7 feet between lights” and “20 foot wiring harness” on the package. But keep in mind they are manufactured in China—and the Chinees have smaller feet than do we in the west! (For a few bucks you could also get a 3’ extention for a 4 pin plug)
PPS, HF also sells a “Trailer Light Kit” (as opposed to a “Tow Light Kit”) for about the same price when on sale. It’s easy to make a mistake when in a hurry. I know from expeeience—I have 5 of those currently no a shelf in the shop!

I have steel wings in front of and behind the wheels on the bed of the trailer to give me the full 102" width except in the wheels area. I might have to splice the 80" wire and add a few inches. I also have a steel bar across the very rear of the trailer which might work for attaching the lights but then I might run into a problem with the overall length of the wiring. . I plan on getting a set or two for back up lights

Like yours, my 18’ trailer is wider than that, but I put the magnetic lights on the frame or fenders 80” apart. Wire could easily be added if you wanted to put the lights on the very outside of the trailer. But it never seemed to be necessary for any applicarions where I have used the lights. Come to think of it I hace probably given away more sets than I have ever used!

"For towing applications up to 80 in. wide" My 20' equipment trailer with currently working lights is 102" wide which is maximum legal width. Don't understand the 80" limitation? Does it have to do with running/clearance lights required after 80" width? I have those on my trailer but????

When I go to shows I always carry two sets—one for my trailer (if need be) and one for whoever’s trailer is having light problems. For nine bucks it’s a REAL good buy!
