Regulations add 3 bulb center cluster clearance lights when over 80" wide.
Also add conspicuity tape when over 80" wide.
What they are saying is the kit does not include this center cluster light, and it is not legal without it.

You can add you own cluster light And conspicuity tape to make it legal.

Some on the cheaper small trailer companies do not include this on new trailers. When I bought my last trailer I had to take a copy of DOT regs to the trailer manufacturer to get these lights included. You can see several trailers that do not comply, but that does not mean that they are legal.

When I go to shows I always carry two sets—one for my trailer (if need be) and one for whoever’s trailer is having light problems. For nine bucks it’s a REAL good buy!
