Could be Dean . (-;
I did not get a chance to do much with the baler. Had to catch up on the chores I missed standing around at the auction.
I had a good trip home. I brought an air tank when I picked the baler up yesterday because I noticed the tires were low. Without the manuals yet I figured on 30 pounds and off I went at 25-30 mph. Kept stopping to let traffic by and check on things. The plunger side tire kept getting warm and twice I stopped for 10 mins to let it cool. Now that I have the manual I found the plunger side tire should have been 45 pounds. That would explain it. Otherwise it was uneventful.
A Farmall super m with a "b" grade paint job and restoration brought 2500. A Farmall H that was an older, restoration brought around 1600-1700. The bidding hesitated at 1100 and I jumped in with 1200. Thought I had it but bidding resumed. A ford 3000 that was rough as a cob and "county owned yellow" brought $4200. I about fell out of my chair. That was a $3200 tractor on a good day. The rear tires were good though. Lots of tread but some minor checking starting to show up..
I will get some more pics for everyone in a day or so.
Ps. The draft pin rope I would swear is original, as is - unfortunately, and the only knock I have on the baler -the tires. I don't think the weather checking in the tires would handle 45 pounds.
