Fundamentally good question, Charlie, and something I always wonder about
too.

Tesla claims that 30 minutes at one of their Supercharger stations will get
you to 80% which is enough to reach the next Supercharger station.  So I
guess you bring a laptop and get some work done, or read a book, grab a
coffee, maybe a little nap... I guess Tesla wants you to think, hey,
there's lots of stuff you can do to fill 30 minutes!

Personally, I'm not a fan of electric vehicles due to this inconvenience
factor combined with the high cost of a battery pack that provides only a
halfway decent range.
