Hi Ray.
I have dealt with a few stuck JDs. How bad is it stuck, is there
standing water in the holes when you take the plugs out? Are the plugs
rusty? What does it look like when you take the valve cover off? I have
freed them up by just putting it in gear and rocking it back and forth.
Pour some Diesel in the spark plug holes and let it set for a while. I
have also made a tool out of channel iron with pipe welded on to fit in
the round holes of the flywheel and put a long ( six to eight feet) lever
on it and try and turn the flywheel.. Is the crankcase clean or rusty.
Lots of things to try. Worst case is take the cylinder off with pistons
in and press them out. Good chance the crank and bearings are ok. No
big deal, just different from insert bearings, actually easier if loose
just take some shims out.
