I'm a little late on this, but both my brother and the guy that owns the
local coffee shop have one. The one my brother has can off a 1 ton
truck. He bought it cheap as it came with no mounting frame. He welded a
quick attach plate to the frame and bought new angle cylinders as the
old ones were junk. It is amazing how far ahead the blade must be to
clear the tires when angled, which he can do from the cab. He has it on
what is considered a ih compact even though it has 70 engine horse. It
is amazing the amount of snow he can push. It has either 4 or 6 big
springs which allow the blade to tip forward it the snow is too hard or
he hits something. He has front wheel drive and has had no trouble with
the loader frame. He loves it because he has a bad back and turning
around is not a good option for him. The guy with the coffee shop has
the exact same setup except that his blade was on a half ton pick-up and
his ih compact is 35 horse. He has used his for 5 years with no
problem. I think most problems have to do with the operators and how
they use equipment. I have seen people use things for over 10 years and
have no problem, but have seen others with the same type of equipment
smash it completely in a couple of years. This past spring we were
looking at used combines in a local dealers lot. Two or three looked
pretty good but one was quite cheap. As I told my brother, it looked
like they backed it into a tree and then rammed the front with a payloader.
