[AT] Oliver Tractor for sale in MA

Jim, I replied to SO's comment. Going further, the shifter is what
concerns me.
Is it just a broken lever or is there a problem in the transmission? Aside
from that,
if he's being truthful about it running and if I wanted it, $1900 wouldn't
scare me away.
I think if I was close to it and wanted it, I'd offer to put the carb on it
for him and get it going
for some consideration on price, once I figured out exactly what is wrong
with the shifter
and if I could find one to replace it or parts to repair it.

Charlie;

I just got a call from the seller and here is the scoop on the tractor; it
is an Oliver 70, 6 speed and is currently not running. The carb is off but
the owner has a new rebuilt one ready to install. The seller also installed
new plug wires, points, condenser, and cap. The bad news is that the shifter
is broken. He is going to take it to get repaired if it does not sell. He
also has an extra set of rear tires that go with it. He is selling it due to
major health problems. The seller wants $1900 as it sits or more when it is
functioning again. I think it is high but I don't know Olivers. If any one
has any thoughts, let me know.

Looks like a pretty nice find! What are they asking for it?
It would make a nice project for someone. I'm guessing
but I think that is a factory front axle.

Here is the other side. The looks to be in decent shape. I still can't tell
if this is a Oliver 60 or 70.

Let's see if this works. The picture is right at 83.7 KB.

Actually, the entire message needs to be under 350 K. The message body takes
up more space than you would think, so I aim(excuse the pun) for picture
sizes that are in the 250 K range.
