I certainly agree that court costs and legal fees  should be paid by the
losing party and the losing lawyer should get no payments even from their
clients it would certainly cut down on the number of frivolous lawsuits.  It
would certainly make sure lawyers are taking cases that have merit and are
not just nuisance suits.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to sue for your costs in defending against
these suits if they lose.

The court should make those awards whether you ask for it or not.
