I think we used to run in 3rd, maybe 4th. Does he still use that tractor for
farming or is it a playtoy? Looks pretty nice.

4020 pulling 5 – 18’s. It was really all he could handle. Not sure but I’d
bet the tires are not loaded. Typically a 4020 would be limited to 4
bottoms here too. Not sure what gear he was running in but he was slow.

Is that a 4010 or 20? What's up with all the wheel weights, are his tires
dry mounted? We never ran but a couple wheel weights, but always had about
as much water in them as you could get. We can only pull 4 bottoms here,
tighter soil I guess. We ran 3pt plows so that probably helped boost
traction as well. The rack of weights on the front looks familiar, I have to
put them on anytime I need to do deep chisel plowing.

John,
I was on a 56 standard cub with the under-slung exhaust. We had 7
tractors with a total of 19 bottoms in the ground. The ground was in prime
condition.
Here is another participant – sort of the opposite end of the spectrum from
my cub.

Darrell, I'm guessing you are driving a Cub/Cub-loboy with underslung
exhaust?

It’s not exactly healthy eating or “just checking” but here’s a picture from
a local plow day last Saturday

I'm for eating whatever brings antique tractors back to this list. Anyone
still using them? I've drilled seed, spread manure, mowed, cut hay, baled
hay, plugged pastures and drive posts - all in the last 3-4 months. All
with my 1958/9 Ford 861D. I had to put front tires on this year but other
than that it has been solid and reliable.

Of course all that was between work shifts of about 12 -14 hours a day(with
commute) and raising alpacas . So my dinner has been 2 12oz portions about
10Pm. Not sure of the health benefits there other than I sleep well and I
don't have to take ibuprofen.
