XP?   You'll have trouble with Facebook.   Without getting too technical, FB uses secure data transmission (address starts "https://...") where the s at the end of http means secure.  Well the very same day that Microsoft quit supporting XP, back in April 2014, the secure feature was no longer supported, and lots of things on FB refused to show up.  Blame Microsoft not Facebook for that.  Eventually it got even worse and I could not access FB at all.  Fortunately for me that 10-year-old XP laptop was dying in general.   New computer, all is well.
