I have never owned an Oliver tractor but have two on my wish, but will 
probably never own list. One is a super 77 row crop diesel; the other a 
Super 99 diesel with the Detroit 3 cylinder engine. My uncle years ago 
owned one of each. The 99 had, for its time, tremendous pulling power. 
One year he let us use the 77 with his two row corn picker. The purr of 
that engine was great and sounded unbelievable when idling. In fact, I 
can hear that purring sound now .
