You guys are using a non-electric hand drill to drill these cans with
aren't you...  :-)
I find that if I use the tap drill size for either a 3/8" or 1/2" bolt to
drill a vent hole then I can force a short cap-screw of that size into the
hole and it fits snug enough to not loosen up but when unscrewed from the
hole vents fine.
I looked at a new can at Wally World yesterday and I believe that they have
given the designation "POS" a whole new level of crappy product. I'll check
Rural King.
I still have a couple of 2.5 gallon cans here that I need to toss in the
trash. My mother had bought them long ago and while they were a decent
quality can they are quite round on the bottom. How smart is that for
something to haul around full of explosive fuel?  :-) They are shaped about
like a little LP tank but with only a small flat bottom area.
