[AT] Tractor OEM filters/Eco Diesel

I'm still having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around this one. What
is the scenario that works best? Say, you own an F-350 (and would that be
gas or diesel or does it matter?) and you want a Cummins in it. So, you
bring your existing truck to this outfit. You need to buy the Cummins
engine, and you need to pay them to install it. What about transmission?
Do they mate it to the existing Ford tranny or drop in something else?
Does the existing Ford tranny handle the torque of the Cummins? OK,
finances. Cummins engine plus install fee (and maybe tranny, depending on
answer to my previous question). That can't possibly be cheap. Why not
just take whatever that cost is, plus the resale value of your original
truck prior to the swap, put those two together, and go out and buy a Ram
with a factory installed Cummins?

It still seems to me that you just really have to love Ford and hate Ram in
order for this to make any sense. It's emotional, not a financial
justification.
