[AT] Tractor OEM filters/Eco Diesel

Bob,  my understanding is that the design of the 7.3 Navistar engine made it 
impossible
for it to comply.  It required a complete re-design to meet regs.
That is the same thing that did away with the old work horse Detroit  2 
stroke engines.

I meet a guy online a year or two ago who runs a shop in Frederick, MD that 
specializes
in keeping 7.3 diesels running and on the road.  The guy doesn't want to 
work on much of
anything else.  As good an engine as they are sooner or later they have 
problems.  I wish
I could remember his name or the name of his shop but I can't.

Yours is the version I've heard too. But I'm sure the truth is somewhere in 
between!!

It's a shame they didn't chose to make the 7.3 Emmisions compliant!!
