Dennis, I'm betting you had a trailer plow, manual trip with a quick 
release safety hitch that connected to a clevis on the drawbar. I have 
the same set-up for the Farmall. If the plow gets stopped it pulls 
against a spring until the tongue of the hitch comes out of the latch.
