> Farmer, a little heads up on the Lipitor. It is a statin and 2 of the side affects are muscle pains and weakness. My brother, Larry, and I both went through the same symptoms. For me last year at Portland I was nearly handicapped by these side affects. Brother Larry clued me in on his experience with these meds. I was watching a commercial on tv and when they announced the side affects as sore muscles and weakness, I immediately identified with them. I was on Crestor which is same family as Lipitor. Quit taking the meds immediately and within 2 weeks the side affects were all gone. I take Zetia for my cholesterol and numbers all good and I feel better than I have for several years. Neighbor has a good friend who is a cardiac nurse who shares opinion of statins.
