[AT] Early John Deere Tractor Cab Manufacturers

I have spent some time this afternoon butting against a brick wall trying
to remember the brand (was after market, not factory install as far as I
know) that was on my 4020 Deere when I bought it. I finally got smart and
sent a text to son Scott and he said that it was a "Full-Vision". It had
smallish folding doors that we always referred to as school bus doors. They
were kind of narrow and the cab was a little narrow as well. Neither of us
liked it much so when we got the chance we replaced it with a Hiniker. A
much better cab.
My father's first tractor (9N) had a cab of sorts I don't know if he bought
it with the tractor or later. I never saw it without the basic metal cab on
it and never saw a picture of the tractor without it. It was in the
original book as an accessory item and was sold through the Ford/Ferguson
dealers. He had stored his side curtains in a shed and mice shredded them
so we never had them on at a time I can recall. He had used them through
WW-II. The side curtains attached to those little post snaps like the
military used back then. He had never bought the fancy running board set
but did buy a simple after market set so I could get on and off when I was
about 5 or 6.

I would love to pick up one of these tops KIND OF cheap but they never come
up when I have any $$$
:-)
