One of my first thoughts was to disconnect the exhaust and check on
convertor because I can hear a clanking, but it may be loose exh pipe.
An experienced ford mechanic tells me that the valve is bent or galled.
If it was running fine then started this, it must be galling.of the
valve stem as the mechanic who worked on it tells me it was stuck, or
the convertor is keeping too much back pressure on this valve. I do not
know if the galled valve is the intake or exh. I was thinking of
installing a heavier valve spring, and changing oil and running Marvel
Mystery in the oil..
