The answer to that is yes & no.  There are too many establishments where 
open carry is prohibited, so what do you do with your firearm, leave it 
in the vehicle where someone may be watching??  You have to have a 
concealed carry license to open carry!!!!!!    Here is a typical 
scenario.  You have a CC license and are carrying for protection while 
transporting a high value load on your t ruck.....    A good later model 
tractor is over $30K..  You stop on the side of the road for a problem.  
Law enforcement stops to inquire if you need help.    The first thing 
you are required to do is to inform them you re carrying...........  
Talk about a conversation starter.....

The main thing I was referring to is sitting on the side of the road and 
someone is on a cell phone and for some reason they seem to drift toward 
what is on the side of the road.  They drift toward what they are 
looking at.  You are on the road side of your trailer trying to change a 
tire and you get hit >>>>>>>>>>   I should have said all the stupid 
drivers out there..!!

Then there are the drive by shooters!!!!!!!!!!!

Its better to just keep moving..
