[AT] Welding Advice

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is how the welding process sounds. 
Don't know exactly how to describe it but stick welding has a specific sound 
to it when its going well. Might be worth paying attention to for anyone 
learning. If I'm having trouble getting a good bead and there is a lot of 
background noise sudh as a engine or air compressor running or someone using 
an air wrench or grinding, I'll wait for it to get quiet.
