I prefer the gas powered infrared heaters.   They heat me and the area 
around
where I'm working.   Heating the entirety of a large, un-insulated, drafty 
building
just costs to much money.  The salamander heaters do do a fine job though 
when
what you need is a lot of BTU's and cost is not the issue.

I have 2 of those master heaters.  Picked them up from a salvage about 7
years ago.  Spent a little time working on them and got one I use all
the time.  It heats up my 40X100x16 shop in about 3 hours when the temp
outside is below freezing.   It uses about 3 gal per hour.
