Since many tractors don't have a key switch nor safety interlock a battery disconnect switch hidden away might be a good alternative. Keep from running the battery down from a left on ignition. Plus those with a mechanical linkage to the starter wouldn't crank moving an in-gear tractor.
This one has a key to control it.
