[AT] OT- voltmeter spiking Jeep Cherokee

Like Farmer says, check the grounds. I agree with Steve W except I'd say 
to add a body ground.  I wouldn't suspect an alternator if the battery 
voltage is showing 14 with a voltmeter at the battery.  Do any of the 
other gauges act up when it is spiking? Could just be a bad gauge or 
problem in the dash too. Doug T
