Still whittling away at tractor repairs every afternoon after work. The Farmall M is ready to go out of the shop, I think. I have the hood off so it can get a bath, dirt must be 1/2” thick underneath. I’m waiting on a part for my pressure washer so I can give the M and the 454 a bath. Also going to wash out the air filter, the intake tube portion of it is really restricted with years of buildup. So far this week I have gotten new brushes installed in the generator and installed a new kill switch. Tightened both the front wheel bearings, almost turned the nut on each 1 revolution. I installed a new manifold pipe. This one is actually stainless steel. I had a job at work where we had to thread a bunch of pipe—single point thread, not in a pipe threader. This was one of my setup parts, threads are a tad bit large so it appeared to tighten up well. Hopefully it won’t work loose!. While its in there we topped off the fluids. I also built up some worn throttle components and backed off the tension on the Joyrider seat.
Once the pressure washer is fixed so I can give the 454 a bath it comes back in for a valve cover gasket and a push rod cover gasket as well as getting the carb rebuilt.

I’m still tinkering on my homemade foam marker, probably going to pick up some major components for it this weekend. I’ll share how it turns out once I am done. So far my latest efforts are working pretty good, incorporating some of the info I have gotten from you guys.

So who else is taking advantage of the “too cold for grass to grow season”?
