Charlie:
there are 2 things that one must remember when trying to understand what 
all the governments are trying to change.

1.  Corporations make no money during peacetime.

2. Corporations make no money if there is no global alarm about something.

I was too young at the time to follow it, but Eisenhower warned the 
people about the Military/Industrial complex in his farewell address.

I will end this for fear of becoming political...
