Here in Michigans thumb we have lots of rocks. My brother has a
mechanical rock picker and a couple of days ago he finished a 3 and a
half acre chunk. He picked over 30 ton off of it. Last year, before he
plowed it he picked another 30 ton off of it for over 60 ton. If he
plows it next year, I bet he will get at least 15 ton. I have one 20
acre field which when I work it at least one tractor tire will be on a
rock at any given time. When you talk about hauling rocks back home I
start to shake. Some years ago a city family loaded about a ton of rocks
into their van to take home. While on the highway, a car on a gravel
road slid on some gravelstones and stopped about a foot into the
highway. The van swerved around the car, but due to being overloaded it
rolled a couple of times. A family of 4 were all killed; beat to death
by all the rocks in their van. Who was it that said you can't fix stupid?
