[AT] OFF Topic: 4 month Verizon WAR

Mike,

I would love to do that too. We have Direct TV which is costing us about that a month. I went to
Direct TV in 1998 because I couldn't get local TV reception because we are on the wrong side of the
hill from the Seattle stations antennas. I've kind of wondered if the digital antennas are not as line
of site sensitive. I suppose I could do some googling on that. I don't watch TV with the exception
of major sports events but my wife does watch several of her favorite shows, most of which drive me
nuts, but she doesn't need as many channels as we are currently subscribed to . I have not gotten a
"round tuit" to get that changed. Maybe now that I'm not going to be fighting with Verizon as much
maybe I will direct my attention to Direct TV. No pun intended. :-) And to think I once said that
the phone companies were in serious trouble when cell phones were invented. How wrong I was. Ve get
too soon oldt and too late smartd!!

Not to hi-jack you're thread, but on a similar note, I just dropped
Direct TV for the first time and am now totally going off a roof top
antennae. $90 a month cheaper and I don't miss it a bit. What a waste
money; paid for 300 channels and watched about 4. That's an implement a
year in my books.
