[AT] Portland Thursday Visit

Without tractor, camper, or other proper credentials (save, perhaps, a patient wife in tow that is new to tractordom and Chuck)
am hoping to visit with some of you Thursday after a stop Wed. afternoon at the Darke County (OH) Fair. 
Any recommends on old iron diversions or homestyle eatery along the paths from Indy to Greenville, OH, or Muncie to Portland?
