[AT] Work boots

I've been out of the trade for 20 years now and have lost track of many of
the names. I pay little attention to names anyway since so many names have
been bought and sold over the years and virtually none are what they once
were.
I can pick up a shoe / boot and tell you in seconds if it is any good or
not but I couldn't begin to tell you what to look / feel for...
I tend to buy good quality but inexpensive shoes based on long experience.
Unfortunately it isn't something I can convert into words.
Son Scott still swears by Redwing and so do Diana's brothers.

On a side note, for most of my adult life I wore a 10 1/2-D or an 11-D. I
now wear a 13-W. My feet are flaring out like my waistline... Only my feet
have grown in length...
