The best use of what is left there is for parts for someone
who is trying to restore one now. I doubt you'd ever find
enough parts to put it back together.

Well, I took another look at the local property maps and something
didn't add up. The township had not updated their website, and I knew a
property split had occurred. So I went to the township office, and found
out that the trust no longer owns the property. Ten acres had been split
off, and 102 was bought up by a local farmer that farms around 3000
acres. Drove to the farm and asked for one of the clan. Spoke to him,
and he was aware of it, and thought he might haul it out for his father
in law, but admitted he would probably never do it. So the story ends
there, asked for permission and was denied, it will rot to death where
it sits. Restoring something in bad shape like that would be a VERY
expensive undertaking to say the least. At least I learned some history,
but as a lover of old things it kind of breaks my heart.
