[AT] Work boots

I have to agree 100% with Cecil.  I typically get more than 5 and 
sometimes as much as much as 10 years out of my Red Wings.  Now you are 
going to comment that I obviously don't work.  I really do, but not in a 
livestock environment.  That does make a difference.  The Red Wings all 
have a date of manufacture on the label.  My current boots that are in 
need of replacement were made in 2004, about a month before I bought 
them.  I usually have two pair so I can trade off, and this pair was 
involved in that situation.  Still way past one year use.  You need to 
make sure you get the Red Wings that are made in the USA of USA 
leathers.  They do have cheaper, somewhat offshore varieties.  My son, 
the Customs Inspector, mistakenly purchased the cheaper ones and they 
did not last to satisfy him and he is fussy about the origin now.  He 
spends a lot of time on his feet on hard surface and is fussy about his 
footwear.  He learned that from me.  I have been exclusively Red Wing 
for over 40 years.
