[AT] OT truck tires/driveshaft?

The story I was told on a tour through the Indy pits was a 2 fold issue.  1, they use bottled nitrogen in the pits for the air guns as well as the tires, partly due to the ethanol fire hazard.  2, that at the extreme speeds the tires rotate a mixture of gases actually tends to separate out into it's components and start tumbling, leading to a high speed shake, therefore, pure nitrogen works in that situation.
Now, seeing as how my extreme speed days on the roads are well in my past, and as I use either pump gas or diesel, I see no need to have use of the benefits of pure nitrogen.  
I am content to be amongst the approximately 80%  crowd.
