Its true Microsoft is discontinuing support for XP in April. I received 
an alert about it. I still have XP on my old desktop and had no worries 
about continuing to use it.
I have not heard the stories about any security concerns though. I will 
have to look into that as I had no plans to change up . I have Windows 7 
on this laptop and am happy
with it but heard that Windows 8 is not something I would want.
