[AT] Off Topic ( sort of ) family - friends - eating and a bunch of antique stuff

For the last several years , I have hosted a GREAT get-together in March
to celebrate birthdays , crawfish , family and friends and it also gives
the younger generation a chance to see first hand & up close the running a
1912 , 20 H.P. Bessemer engine that weights 5500 Lbs. They see what it was
like in 1912 to start and run the engine . I had folks from New York
, Arizona , N. Carolina , Texas , Arkansas and across Louisiana to attend
the get=together at my little shop that is turned into a eating celebration
as well as a good and interesting HISTORY lesson  .

The gathering also lets them see and talk about any and everything antique
from Maytag washing machines to Henry Fords first motor in 1893 .

my 75th birthday ( March 15th , 2014 ) which was attended by several
hundred folks trying to eat 260 pounds of boiled CRAWFISH , corn on the cob
, potatoes , mushrooms , carrots ,about 50 lbs.fried fresh caught catfish ,
french fried potatoes  and PORK LOINS deep fried and juicy tender along
with Boudin and deserts . . This was all made possible by MANY close
friends and family members BEFORE , DURING , and AFTER the party .I would
like to thank ALL of them and the good Lord above for holding off the RAIN
until 3:30 in the evening .
