Don if I remember correctly your place has some elevation change (not flat 
land
like I grew up on).  If that's true, try to find a Farmall C and leave the A 
alone.
They really will turn over on that offset side.  I spent a lot of time on 
them as
a kid.  Good tractors, excellent for what they are designed for and I'm not 
knocking them.
In fact I'm a fan of them but for a mowing tractor on uneven terrain I 
wouldn't go there.
I'm not saying this because I'm an A-C guy but an A-C  B, C, CA or D-10 or 
D-12 would do a
fine job for you with either a belly mower or rear mounted finish mower if 
you happen to
find one of those while looking for a Farmall.

I have been looking for a Farmall A or C with a belly finish mower. For
the other five acres of brush I have a Case IH DX 29.
