I don't know about this. I have Adobe as the default reader, I use IE and
have had no difficulties downloading or using PDF files. As a test, I
downloaded the JD 520 parts manual, and it worked fine.

Thank you for pointing this out Dean - I've been battling the pdf issue for
a while now. I'm trying to remember how to change the default file
association for different programs....

I need to make a slight correction on my previous message. The latest
versions of MS IE will work fine
with PDF files, if and only if, your system has been set up to make MS IE
the default reader for PDF
files. Usually....most systems are set up to make Adobe Reader the default
reader for PDF files.
Sorry for not making this clear to begin with.

You are welcome. Looking forward to hearing back to see if any of the
conclusions I came to observing
the pictures were close to accurate. Are you aware that you can download a
PDF version of the Parts
Catalog for your 620 at the Deere web site free of charge? Go to
www.jdparts.com. Select US region
and then on the next screen enter the model # 620 and then check the "Exact
Model Search" the 620 PC
will be the second one down the list. It will take a while to download to
your computer as it is an
over 20 MB file. Take note that current versions of MS Internet Explorer
do not like PDF files so
you may have to use "Google Chrome" to download, read and save the PDF
file.

Thanks, Dean! I really appreciate your great comments and your guidance on
what to look for in the first place. I'll take a closer look after work
today for that automatic fuel shutoff and the other details you mentioned
and will let you know what I find out.
