[AT] Big Engine trip

The local AEDGETA is organizing a trip to see a large IR stationary engine
North of the Phoenix area as follows:


Come and see the Big Engine. 

When: Saturday February 1st 2014

Where:  The engine is just north of Hayden Arizona about 75 miles from
Apache Junction. Those coming from Phoenix meet at the Home Depot Located at
1545 South Crismon Road Mesa AZ  at 7:30 am on the 1st.  From there we will
Caravan to Kerney then to the site. The last four miles is on a very rough
road 4 x 4"s are recommended to get to the location, or a 2 wheel drive with
lots of traction.   Please email me if you are interested in going.  I will

What to bring:  water camera, curiosity, lunch? 

What to expect:   A mind blowing experience...

Engine Specs:   Manufacturer:  Ingersoll Rand,  One Cylinder Horizontal
Engine.  
                                              21"  piston, 24" stroke,
(8000 cubic inch displacement)  200 rpm   Weight 43,500. lbs 
                                             
                                              Attached POC - 2 compressor
produces 750 cubic feet per minute at 100 psi
