[Farmall] What tractor ---> Power Unit?

My dad had one on an irrigation pump. It was a 264 CI 6 cylinder Black
Diamond engine id'ed as the BD-264. The power unit was from the era when IH
id'ed their power units as "U" followed by other optional letters then the
displacement. Thus the Cub based (C-60 engine) unit was the U-60 etc. The
most common second letter was "D" on the Diesel units. The "B" evidently
stood for butane. Thus the UB-264 was a power unit based on the BD-264
engine and was set up to run on LP.

John, what I found was that the BD-264 was a 6 cylinder gas truck engine.
"BD" meaning Black Diamond. I found that they used them alot in the trucks.
The engine this man has is a 6 cylinder engine also. I would guess that the
"C" 264 power unit engines were probably the same engines used in the
Farmall M.
IH sure had some crazy numbering systems for all their equipment. Thanks.
