[Farmall] Help with info on 1066 Black Stripe

Al,  I have to agree with you on the looks of the white stripe 66's versus 
the black stripe.  Something about the all red version black stripe with out 
the white panels just looks odd to me.  I prefer the white panel appearance 
myself.

The folks on the Red Power magazine forum can give you the complete low-down 
on the blackstripes vs. the early 66s.  What I am telling you is from 
memory, don't take it as total "gospel."

-The front, vertical side panels that are white on the earlier tractors had 
louvers in them. A blackstripe will not have louvers in them.
-Serial number plate is not on the left side of the bellhousing like earlier 
tractors. I want to say it's on the rear end.  The rear end is cast/drilled 
like an 86 series

Either way, for the money I would snap it up, blackstripe or not.  (I 
personally prefer the looks of the earlier white stripe 66's myself.)
